2017年5月8日-11日，第十九届多孔介质国际学术会议及年会在荷兰鹿特丹顺利召开，太原理工大学赵阳升教授带队共五人参加了学术会议，在学术会议上，赵阳升教授作了题为“Online-experiment investigation of permeability ore-bearing rock under the stress-temperature and the evolution pore-fissure in microscopic structure”的报告，冯增朝教授作了题为“Improving methane drainage in low-permeability coal seam using the water jet technique”的报告，杨栋副教授作了题为“The chaotic gas-liquid two-phase flow in single fracture and its mechanism”的口头报告（Oral Presentation）。胡耀青教授与赵东副教授分别作了题为“Mechanics characters od coal and surrounding rock under high temperature”和“Mechanism study of coalbed methane desorption and migration in solid stress, thermal, and two-phase flow interaction”的展板展示（Poster Presentation）。太原理工大学为国际多孔介质学会（International Society for Porous Media）的机构组织之一，具有12位国际多孔介质学会会员，赵阳升教授为国际多孔介质学会常务理事。会议期间，赵阳升团队还与西班牙的马德里理工大学进行了学术交流。
