1994年大学本科毕业于山西矿业学院采矿工程专业，2004年于太原理工大学采矿工程专业获博士学位；2004年10月至2007年10月于中国科学院武汉岩土力学研究所博士后流动站工作；2005年9月至2006年9月于加拿大滑铁卢大学进行学术交流与访问。兼任中国岩石力学与工程学会理事、中国岩石力学与工程学会青年工作委员会副主任、山西省岩石力学与工程学会常务理事秘书长、山西省煤炭学会副理事长。
先后主持、参与国家杰出青年基金项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目及国家自然科学基金重点项目5项，获得国家发明专利6项，在《International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences》、《Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering》、《Progress in Natural Science》、《Transport in Porous Media》、《岩石力学与工程学报》、《岩土工程学报》、及《自然科学进展》等国内外重要学术刊物上发表论文100余篇，其中SCI、 EI收录30余篇，由科学出版社出版《盐类矿床控制水溶开采理论及应用》专著1部。
主要研究成果“群井致裂控制水溶盐矿开采理论与技术研究及在运城盐湖矿开采中的应用”项目，于2003年获山西省科技进步一等奖（排名第三）；2005年 “盐类矿床群井致裂控制水溶开采方法及其应用”获国家技术发明二等奖（排名第二）；2008年“盐岩力学特性及油气储库建造理论研究”获山西省自然科学二等奖（排名第一）。2006年评为山西省青年学术带头人，2007年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2008年全国百篇优秀博士学位论文获得者，中国岩石力学与工程学会青年科技奖（金奖）获得者，山西省“新世纪学术带头人333人才工程”省级人选，山西省青年科技奖获得者，2009年山西青年五四奖章获得者，2010年中国青年科技奖获得者，百千万人才工程国家级人选，国务院政府特殊津贴专家。2012年获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助。
Professor Liang obtained his his bachelor degree of Mining Engineering in Shanxi college of Mining in 1994 and Ph.D. degree in Taiyuan University of Technology in 2004. He worked as a postdoctor in Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004-2007 and as a visiting scholar in University of Waterloo in 2005-2006.
Professor Liang is currently the leader of the research group of In-situ Modification of Deposit Properties for Improving Mining (IMDPIM) in Taiyuan University of Technology, has been engaged in various coupled problems in areas of mining engineering, pyrolysis extraction for shale oil and gas, coal bed methane recovery by replacement and driving with CO2injection, Theory and practice of the construction of horizontal storage caverns of salt rocks, et al.
Prof. Liang has published more than 100 research and conferences articles, and is also the gainer of National Outstanding Youth Foundation of China, and the project he studied “Technology and application of hydraulic fracturing and solution mining for salt deposits” won the second prize of national technology and invention of 2005, China.
